Background and appearances [ ]

Experiment 345 was the 345th genetic experiment created by Jumba with Hämsterviel 's funding. He was designed to distract enemies by performing tricks with his elastic body. 345 and the other first 624 experiments were deactivated and smuggled to Earth by Jumba during his mission to capture Experiment 626 .

All of the experiment pods were released and scattered across the island of Kauai .

At an unknown point after this, Experiment 345 was activated.

Lilo & Stitch: The Series [ ]

Lilo & Stitch The Series - Elastico - 'Cousin?!'

345 eventually found his way to an international circus, where he was taken in and named Elastico by the troupe's ringmaster .

A newspaper article with Elastico's picture in it was almost used as a sandwich wrapper by  Experiment 625 . When Gantu noticed the article on his ship , he snatched it and read the section. Reuben then revealed that Elastico had been activated two weeks ago, so Gantu headed off to the circus to capture the experiment.

Meanwhile, Lilo  was engrossed in a new hula dance, but ignored  Stitch when he offered to help her. He later noticed Elastico riding atop a circus van, and after Lilo rebuked Stitch for his interference, he followed Elastico to the circus. There, Stitch disguised himself as a clown and attempted to capture Elastico, but the latter teased Stitch and turned the whole chase into a game. Eventually, Elastico calmed down when Stitch grabbed him and called him "cousin".

As the entire audience began cheering for Stitch, he was pulled onto the stage and praised by Elastico's ringmaster, who then nicknamed Stitch "The Incredible Indestructorado". However, at that moment, Gantu barged in, strangled Elastico, and stuffed him into a net before fleeing.

Stitch revealed that Gantu had kidnapped Elastico, much to the ringmaster's dismay. He then mentioned how Stitch stole the show with his incredible stunts and even invited him to perform in Elastico's stead, to which Stitch happily accepted. He later met the circus troupe, where, after putting on an amazing show, he signed a contract permitting him to travel with the circus.

Meanwhile, Gantu tried to teleport Elastico to Hämsterviel , but the experiment put up quite a fight and proved difficult to control. Reuben wagered a Monte Cristo sandwich on the whole ordeal, although Gantu eventually disabled Elastico by blasting the latter and put him in shackles. However, he stretched out of the cuffs and under the teleport chamber just before the transfer could be completed.

Elastico somehow packaged himself and then shipped himself back to the circus, reuniting with his ringmaster. When Lilo later discovered that Stitch had run away with the circus, she paid him a visit and attempted to make amends. Just then, Gantu attacked and tried to take Elastico back, but was thwarted by Lilo and Stitch, as well as the entire circus troupe.

Elastico with his ringmaster and two other circus members

As the circus prepared to leave for Las Vegas, Lilo and Stitch made up. When the ringmaster learned that Stitch had a family of his own, the former voided the contract on a technicality (as Stitch had previously signed it with his own name, rather than the nickname he was given by the ringmaster) and let Stitch be with his ʻohana . After Stitch said his goodbyes, he and Lilo decided that Elastico's one true place was staying with the circus.

Elastico was one of the experiments in " Checkers " that joined Stitch in a rebellion against Gantu. Gantu even put Elastico on his head (thinking the latter was Checkers ).

In " Remmy ", Elastico was one of the experiments in Lilo's dream.

Leroy & Stitch [ ]

The first 624 experiments, including Elastico, were rounded up by  Leroy and taken to a  stadium to be destroyed. However, Lilo , Stitch , Jumba , Pleakley , Reuben and Gantu arrived before the experiments could be destroyed.

Elastico participated in the following battle between the experiments and the Leroy clones by strangling attacking Leroys with his elastic body.

However, the Leroys soon gained the upper hand in the battle, but were defeated when Lilo, Stitch, Reuben and several other experiments performed the song " Aloha ʻOe ", which caused the Leroy army to shut down due to the original Leroy's fail-safe. Elastico joins them for the song by playing the trombone.

Stitch! anime [ ]

Elastico made an appearance in the Stitch! anime where  Hämsterviel modified him with the ability to transform things into circus-related items and animals (dogs, monkeys, elephants, seals, etc.) in order to turn Stitch into a harmless little puppy, thus making him easier to capture. It is also revealed that Elastico is capable of speaking fluently . However, Yuna was turned into a dog by mistake, and Stitch was unaware that it was actually her until he later found her in a circus tent being tortured to do tricks for the circus.

Elastico later appeared as one of the experiments who helped Stitch fight Dark End . He also appeared in the special Stitch and the Planet of Sand .

Personality [ ]

Elastico is a very playful, fun-loving and enthusiastic experiment and treats just about anything like a game. He loves entertaining folks, sometimes breaking the rules for his own fun. Being a natural contortionist, he amuses himself by stretching his body into fun shapes or using them to pull little stunts or jokes on others. He can be a bit of a prankster, as he enjoys fooling around and teasing his enemies, often irritating them. Despite this, he can be very jumpy in immediate danger or if someone is trying to catch him. Also, he loves both of his families (his circus family and his ʻohana  with Lilo, Stitch, and the other experiments) very much.

Elastico is generally very friendly and affectionate towards others. The one thing he dislikes more than anything is being grabbed or restrained, with the exception of hugs. He is also very terrified of Gantu, screaming every time he sees him and grabbing onto Stitch's head when Gantu approaches. This is quite reasonable due to the fact that Elastico has been grabbed, choked, netted, kidnapped, pulled, squeezed, blasted and shackled by Gantu. Despite this, he seems to have gotten over his fear by " Checkers ", as he was seen bravely rebelling against Gantu.

Biology [ ]

Physical appearance [ ].

Elastico is a green, furless, earless, clownish, roughly monkey-like creature with a small, stumpy tail, a large, red, round clown nose; white face and stomach, wide mouth, black eyes, neck frill, three huge tendrils on his head that resemble a jester's cap, and a purple spot on his stomach. He always wears a pink ruffled collar (like the ones that typical white-face circus clowns wear) around his neck, though it is unknown if it's removable.

Special abilities [ ]

Elastico can manipulatively stretch and bend any part of his body like taffy; this can range from him flattening himself until he is incredibly thin, to reshaping into anything from a parachute to a rubber raft. He uses this ability to perform amazing stunts and tricks. Like some of his cousins, Elastico can roll into a ball, though it acts more as a bouncy ball than the form Stitch and other experiments use. He can also inflate himself and float like a balloon. He has shown the ability to transform things into circus-related items and animals, such as dogs, monkeys, elephants, seals, etc. However, he has only displayed this while under the effects of Hämsterviel . He is also seen to be able to speak fluently , though it is unknown if this is because of Hämsterviel transmuting him or if he was always capable of speaking and learned over time.

As part of stretching, Elastico displays some amount of invulnerability. Forced stretching, even under several tons of load, appears to cause him pain and discomfort, but no permanent or even temporary harm. A high degree of protection is also afforded by his skin. Combined with flexibility, this makes him immune to bullets. He can use his elasticity to throw objects with far more force than his slight stature would imply. He has also displayed the ability to shapeshift with his elasticity.

Elastico has shown to be skilled in playing the trombone.

Weaknesses [ ]

Forced stretching because of someone pulling on Elastico causes him pain and discomfort, but is otherwise indestructible. He is also jumpy around anyone or anything he sees as a threat.

  • Elastico's number was never revealed in his debut , but his number officially appears on the experiments list in the end credits of Leroy & Stitch .
  • Elastico was activated off-screen .
  • Elastico, in particular, was named by the ringmaster of the circus.
  • Elastico, in particular, was rehabilitated by the ringmaster of the circus, which became his one true place.
  • He is also the only known experiment to be rehabilitated by a one-shot character rather than one of the regulars.
  • "Elastico" is also Italian for "rubber band".
  • While the Stitch! anime established that Elastico can speak fluently , his one spoken word in his debut episode in the original series — the word "cousin" — and the fact that he seemed to understand the word, imply that he always had such speech capabilities.
  • Despite being very flexible, Elastico could not seem to escape the net  he was captured in.
  • According to Reuben , he describes Elastico as: "Primary function: Distraction of hostile forces."
  • Elastico's head appears in the online game Jumba's Lab .

Experiment 345 Elastico

"Somehow, I'm still a better Joker than Jared Leto!"

Special Abilities:

Ah, Experiment 345! One of my personal favorites of the 300's roster! Design-ed to distract foes by stretching like taffy, he was practically made for the circus-life! And speak of two devils, he was not only made from taffy as well as the great intergalactic circus star S.B. Grovaccio, but also was found in the circus by Little Girl and 626! In fact, he kind of already found his one true place without even trying!

Despite this, however, he does occasionally leave the circus to visit his fellow experiments. Most notably, when he helped in the liberation of Kauai'i from Gantu when he captured Experiment 029 . 345 is also highly affectionate, giving rather affectionate hugs; and undoubtedly less dangerous than 489's , I can tell you!

Finally, it is also prudent to note that he also works in charity along with the circus, raising funds for cancer research.

Biography [ ]

Lilo & stitch: the series [ ].

Sometime after Elastico was activated, he eventually made his way to a famous international circus, where he was warmly welcomed and taken in by the troupe's ringmaster. Reuben almost used a newspaper article, featuring a picture of Elastico, as a wrapper for his sandwich. However, Gantu spotted the article on his ship and grabbed it to read the contents. It was then revealed by Reuben that Elastico had been activated just two weeks prior. Upon learning this, Gantu immediately set out to the circus in order to capture the experiment known as Elastico.

In the meantime, Lilo was completely immersed in learning a new hula dance, paying little attention to Stitch's offer to assist her. However, Stitch became intrigued when he spotted Elastico riding on the roof of a circus van. Even though Lilo brushed off Stitch's observation, he couldn't shake the feeling and decided to investigate further by following Elastico to the circus. Upon arriving at the circus, Stitch cleverly disguised himself as a clown and fought Elastico in an attempt to capture him, but instead of being caught, Elastico goofed around with Stitch and turned their fight into a playful game. He eventually settled down when Stitch managed to grab hold of his elastic body and called him "cousin".

The whole audience erupted into cheers as Stitch wowed everyone with his amazing performance. Elastico's ringmaster, impressed by Stitch's talents, praised him for his skills. However, the joyful atmosphere was shattered when Gantu suddenly appeared, attacked Elastico, and captured him in a net before making a hasty escape. Stitch was quick to realize that Gantu had kidnapped Elastico, much to the dismay of the ringmaster. Stitch recounted the events to the ringmaster.

The ringmaster was deeply saddened by the disappearance of Elastico and expressed gratitude to Stitch for his heroism. He acknowledged Stitch's remarkable stunts and offered him the opportunity to perform in Elastico's place. Stitch agreed to take on the challenge and showcased his skills in the ring. As he interacted with the circus troupe, Stitch impressed everyone with his extraordinary abilities and won over the audience with his entertaining performance. Following his successful show, Stitch was approached by the ringmaster with a contract that would allow him to join the circus and travel with them. The ringmaster expressed his admiration for Stitch's talent and welcomed him as a valuable addition to the troupe. Stitch eagerly accepted the offer, excited about the prospect of spending time with his newfound friends in the circus.

Meanwhile, Gantu attempted to transport Elastico to Hämsterviel, but the confrontation proved to be more challenging than anticipated and Elastico fought back fiercely, making it hard for Gantu to get ahold of him. Seeing the struggle unfold, Reuben placed a bet on the outcome, betting a Monte Cristo sandwich. Despite Gantu eventually managing to incapacitate Elastico by using a powerful blast on him and restraining him with shackles, Elastico managed to escape by shrinking himself out of the cuffs. He then flattened his body like paper in order to slip underneath the teleport chamber just as the teleportation process was about to be initiated.

Elastico carefully prepared himself to be packaged and sent back to the circus where he belonged, eager to reunite with the ringmaster. When Lilo eventually found out that Stitch had decided to run away to join the circus, she immediately went to see him in order to reconcile their friendship. However, their meeting was interrupted by Gantu who tried to forcibly take Elastico back, only to be stopped by Stitch and the rest of the circus performers. With the circus getting ready to depart for Las Vegas, Lilo and Stitch managed to mend their relationship and put their differences aside. The ringmaster was surprised to discover that Stitch actually had a family waiting for him, a revelation that lead him to revoke the contract as it was signed with Stitch's real name, allowing Stitch to finally be with his true family. As they bid their farewells, Stitch and Lilo decided that Elastico truly belonged with the circus, where he was happy and loved.

In "Checkers", Stitch and Reuben were able to resist Checkers' hypnotic influence, and Stitch, after recruiting Reuben, managed to gather together a group of other experiments to confront Gantu and remove Checkers from his head. The full resistance consisted of Stitch, Reuben, Sparky, Richter, Backhoe, Cannonball, Yin, Elastico, Spooky, Holio, and Clip. During the ensuing battle, Elastico easily handled Lilo and got her out of the way, while the other experiments were able to successfully remove Checkers from Gantu's head. Afterward, Gantu mistakenly placed Elastico on his head, believing him to be Checkers, only to have Elastico playfully kiss him on the head before jumping off, causing Gantu's former minions to turn against him in rebellion.

Following the uprising, Lilo pondered Checkers' true purpose or "one true place," but it was never revealed. Meanwhile, Checkers and the other experiments, along with Jumba and Pleakley, observed Nani participating in the Coconut Queen Festival parade (after the original Coconut Queen became ill), riding atop a float that had been modified by Lilo, the hula girls, and Stitch's cousins at a previous time.

In "Remmy", Elastico appeared as one of the various experiments in Lilo's dream.

Leroy & Stitch [ ]

Leroy gathered the first 624 experiments, including Elastico, and brought them to a stadium for destruction. But Lilo, Stitch, Jumba, Pleakley, Reuben, and Gantu arrived just in time to stop the destruction of the experiments by destroying the cannon. Elastico joined the battle between the experiments and Leroy clones, using his stretchable body to overpower the Leroys by strangle them tightly.

The Leroys were soon winning the battle, but they lost when Lilo, Stitch, Reuben, and other experiments sang "Aloha 'Oe", causing the Leroy army to shut down because of a built-in fail-safe mechanism of the original Leroy. Elastico also joined in the musical performance by playing the trombone and was seen at the end in the family photo behind Bonnie and Clyde.

Stitch! [ ]

In "Elastico 2.0", Hämsterviel made modifications to Elastico, giving him the ability to transform objects and living beings into circus-themed items and animals such as dogs, monkeys, elephants, seals, and more. The primary objective behind this modification was to change Stitch into a harmless little puppy, thereby making it easier to capture him. Unfortunately, a mistake occurred during this process, and Yuna ended up being transformed into a dog instead. Even though he was aware Yuna isn't 626, Elastico still captured her anyway and forced her to perform at the circus.

Elastico used his powers to transform all of Stitch's other friends into animals as well. Stitch remained oblivious to the fact that the dog he saw was actually Yuna until he stumbled upon her in a circus tent, witnessing her being tortured and forced to perform tricks for the audience. Stitch engaged in a battle with Elastico, using his agility to evade the transmutation beams and ultimately causing Elastico to inadvertently transform himself. However, Elastico quickly changed back to his original form and continued his offense against Stitch. Elastico was later overwhelmed and flattened into a paper-like state, rendering him unconscious. Jumba put Elastico in a glass container, effectively neutralizing the threat posed by him and Elastico was soon automatically released from Hämsterviel's control.

In "Dark-End", Elastico was one of the experiments that assisted Stitch in battling Dark End. Dark End easily overpowered Stitch and had him beat, even with the aid of other experiments, but Stitch managed to beat him by tapping into a hidden ability. Following the fight, Jumba managed to capture Dark End in a container.

In "Stitch and the Planet of Sand", Elastico was among the many experiments taken captive by Hämsterviel and kept in glass containers. With help from Stitch, they managed to break free and teamed up to stop Hämsterviel, Gantu, and Reuben in their tracks, foiling Hämsterviel's plan for universal domination. Subsequently, Elastico and the rest of the experiments made their way back to Earth.

Personality [ ]

Elastico is a mischievous, cheerful, and optimistic experiment who has a playful and exuberant attitude. Elastico enjoys engaging in various activities as if they were games, always looking for ways to entertain those around him. His playful nature sometimes makes him bend the rules for his own enjoyment. As a talented contortionist, he finds joy in contorting his body into amusing shapes or using his flexibility to play tricks on others. Elastico can also be a prankster at times, often engaging in antics and doing teasing that may sometimes annoy those around him. Despite this, he can become skittish and anxious when faced with immediate danger or the prospect of being captured. While he cares for his circus family and the other experiments, Elastico still has no qualms about irritating them from time to time. He is sociable and warm, and enjoys showing affection to those around him.

Elastico has a strong aversion to being held or confined against his will, although he does make an exception for hugs. He particularly has a deep dislike for Gantu, as he has been choked, squeezed, captured, blasted, and forcefully stretched by him. He is also capable of cooperating with his "cousins" when the time is needed.

  • Even though Elastico possessed great flexibility, he was unable to break free from the net that entrapped him.
  • While his experiment number was not revealed in his first appearance, it is later shown on the list in "Leroy & Stitch".
  • Reuben describes Elastico as having the primary function of distracting hostile enemies.

Experiment 345: Elastico.

It's strange when knowing that clowns are suppose to be something that should bring a smile to your day, but are often seen in media as something scary. Some people even have a deep fear of them. As for me, I wouldn't say I have it. It's more of an uncomfortable feeling if I'm near one. Yet the experiment I will be talking about is truly an exception for this. He's actually one of my more favorite experiments. This is experiment 345, Elastico.

Experiment 345: Elastico.-It's strange when knowing that clowns are suppose to be something that should bring a smile to your

Elastico is easily one of my top five favorites in design. The alien-ish green that makes up most of his body is a real eye catcher. The white sections look as if they were painted on him. Add this and his big red nose, he really does look like a clown. Plus, the way he smiles reminds me of Goofy, and I do love Goofy.

Experiment 345: Elastico.-It's strange when knowing that clowns are suppose to be something that should bring a smile to your

Elastico has a very strange reason for being created. Apparently, Jumba made him with the intent of distracting his enemies, and even annoy them to a point, through performances. Because of this, Elastico can manipulate his body to bend in anyway he wants it to. It's fitting knowing what he can do this and in his episode, he appears to be part of a circus family.

Experiment 345: Elastico.-It's strange when knowing that clowns are suppose to be something that should bring a smile to your

This guy isn't like some of the more dangerous experiments. He's a playful one and since he was created to do performances, Elastico loves to do just that.

Experiment 345: Elastico.-It's strange when knowing that clowns are suppose to be something that should bring a smile to your

Something about this experiment that I like a lot, is that because he can stretch his body and take any shape, his expressions can be over the top. When seeing this, I thought of the old Tom and Jerry cartoons. Elastico has a slapstick feel to him and it reminds of the cartoons. They're a part of my childhood, much like the show this guy appears in and their films are also part of it.

Experiment 345: Elastico.-It's strange when knowing that clowns are suppose to be something that should bring a smile to your

Elastico is similar to that of experiment 007, Gigi, where Lilo didn't have to give him a name and he already had a place where he can call home. This being the previously mentioned circus family. I had a fun time watching his episode. He really is that one exception to the whole clown thing.

All of the experiment pods were released and scattered across the island of Kauai.

At an unknown point after this, Experiment 345 was activated.

345 eventually found his way to an international circus, where he was taken in and named Elastico by the troupe's ringmaster .

However, Lilo , Stitch , Jumba , Pleakley , Reuben , and Gantu arrived before the experiments could be destroyed.

Elastico participated in the following battle between the experiments and the Leroy clones by strangling attacking Leroys with his elastic body.

However, the Leroys soon gained the upper hand in the battle, but were defeated when Lilo, Stitch, Reuben, and several other experiments performed the song " Aloha ʻOe ", which caused the Leroy army to shut down due to the original Leroy's fail-safe. Elastico joins them for the song by playing the trombone.

Stitch! [ ]

Elastico made an appearance in the Stitch! anime where Hämsterviel modified him with the ability to transform things into circus-related items and animals (dogs, monkeys, elephants, seals, etc.) in order to turn Stitch into a harmless little puppy, thus making him easier to capture. It is also revealed that Elastico is capable of speaking fluently.
