  4. Advice on MSc Computer Science (Thesis option) programme offered at SFU

I'm currently in SFU's MSc Thesis program. If you're looking to study Comp Bio, NLP, AI or Networking, SFU is a much better option than UBC (not sure about any schools out east). I'm pretty sure you can switch, but since that would mean wasting your potential thesis supervisors time, I wouldn't recommend it.

  9. Canadian Universities for Non-Thesis / Coursework Masters in Computer

Hi everyone, future 2024 international masters student here, I'd like help to identify university recommendations (and dissuasions) for computer science. Found an exact thread 2 years ago but need more help. My purpose for doing a masters is to obtain PGWP (hopefully 3 years), get employed upon graduation, and then get permanent residency.

  10. SFU Computing Science

The admission requirement speaks of needing a degree from "computing science or related field". How are you defining "related fields"? The more overlap there is between the courses you have already taken and the courses offered by Computing Science, the better chance you have of being considered a qualified applicant. 28 February 2020 11:41 AM
